A couple things I like about working in a legal office are: ( 1) I learn something new every day; (2)There is never a dull moment; (3)I am able to share my knowledge and experience with other employees; (4)I have the opportunity to help people with their problems; (5) Just when I think I have seen or heard just about everything, something new and different comes along.
Absolutely! I worked in a law office for a little over 18 years. I then took a few years off when my last son was born and during that time worked some very part time jobs in various office settings (insurance office, nursing home). I returned to legal work about 5 years ago and remain at that office now. I did not find the other office settings to be as challenging, exciting and rewarding as the law office!
I have worked in a law office for 22 years. The majority of our secretarial staff have been with the firm 5-10+ years. This longevity can be attributed to job satisfaction. It can be a very rewarding career. Like Sue said, "never a dull moment!"
Ladies,
I know your days are busy and full of information. So what do you do at night to relax and take your mind off of work?
